Aug 8 Event to Raise Funds for Bravo Zulu House
Our Walking Event on August 8th will be dedicated to the veterans at Bravo Zulu House – the first all-military sober home for veterans with PTSD. Pledges will be collected and donated toward building a kennel for the therapy dogs at Bravo Zulu. Learn more about the organization at the link below.
About Us
WHO WE ARE
We’re a new networking group based on a simple idea: bringing creative professionals together and having their pets join the fun.
Low stress, low pressure. No name tags, no bar scene, no presentations, no sign-up fees. Just a walk in the park, literally.
We define “creative pro” loosely. We won’t turn people away. If you’re in the creative business or connected to it, you’re welcome here! Side hustles, part-time and recreational creatives as well.
Meet new people – and new dogs!
Meeting new people can be hard. But it doesn’t need to be. At our meet-ups, bringing your dog is not just OK, it’s recommended. So mark your calendar, grab your leash and your BFF (Best Furry Friend) and head to our next event.
Bring your canine companion, or two ... or three! Human friends and family are welcome, too. Need to bring the kids to make it work with your schedule? It’s all good.
Don’t have a dog but want to tag along? One of ours will ‘adopt‘ you for the day, assuming you don’t mind doggie kisses!
HOW WE ROLL
Our goal is simple: meet once a quarter on a Friday morning at an MSP Metro-area park for a walk, some fresh air, and if you so choose, lively conversation. We won’t bark at you if you’re not feeling chatty.
We intend to rotate different parks to make our events more accessible no matter where you live in the area. To stay connected, fill out the form below. But you’re free to just show up any time. No registration required, and we won’t share your info, ever.
SAFETY FIRST
We want to make Canines & Creatives a relaxing, stress-free and SAFE event for all. If your dog has shown aggression toward other dogs or people, please consider other social activities for your pet.
If you bring children, please monitor them and be sure they understand how to interact with dogs – especially new animals they haven’t met. There’s a good article with safety tips here.
